Terms and disclaimer
Can Law Easy is an information and matching service. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using it does not create a solicitor-client relationship with us or with any lawyer listed here. Only a lawyer, paralegal or licensed immigration consultant you retain can advise you on your own facts.
The limitation periods, notice periods and filing deadlines we show come from official Canadian statutes, rules and tribunal pages, with a link to the source. Law changes, and your own court papers may set a different date. The date on your papers and the rule in force in your jurisdiction always governs.
The 'describe your issue' and 'write my case' tools produce drafts and orientation, not advice. They can be wrong. Read every line, correct anything that does not match your facts, and have a licensed professional review any document before you file or send it.
Lawyers, paralegals and immigration consultants apply to be listed and are reviewed before they go live. We ask for a licence number and regulator, but you should still verify anyone you hire with their law society or the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Entries marked as legal aid plans are public organisations, not paid listings.
Fee ranges and estimates are typical Canadian market figures for orientation only. A quote is a private offer from that professional to you. Any retainer, fee and scope is an agreement between you and them; we are not a party to it and take no commission on it.
This is not an emergency service. If you are in danger call 911. If you have been arrested, ask for duty counsel immediately and say nothing else.
The service is provided as is. To the extent Canadian law permits, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the information, drafts, estimates or listings here.
